1. During warm-ups/pre-game presentations, do not glance at the other side and/or look up at the Jumbotron. Alabama players will look like they ate you and your big brother. You will be intimidated in a nightmare-like way. But unlike a nightmare, don’t let your brain’s strong emotional response take over your football player instinct. Get ready to play.

2. How about a completely diverse offensive rhythm Tom Rees? Flipping between conservative, 2-TE formations, sprinkling in some screen passes, play action and boots, and changing tendencies to a more open offense, using quick-hitting, no-huddle/ up-tempo approach. Perhaps changing the way the defense anticipates our offensive gameplan may give us a chance to stay in it longer, and use every opportunity to “steal series” from their defense.

3. Like Boise State vs Oklahoma (knowing full well Bama ain’t or would be close to similar to what OU was), you have nothing to lose. You’re expected to lose, badly. Don’t press, just play. Watch the Clemson @ ND game and how you played, then watch the blowouts you’ve been dealt with and watch how you played. You’ve been through enough beatdowns. Make it a mission to keep it close.
