So you're saying ... there's a chance

-Play cover 2 with the safeties. Just take big plays to DeVonta Smith off the table. Have Kyle Hamilton escort him down the field for 60 plays, like an F-14 escorting Air Force One. If he doesn’t make a tackle all day, so be it.

-Leave the box empty, and trust your front 7 to deal with Najee. It’s not ideal, but it gives us a puncher’s chance. Couple bombs to DeVonta, and we’re done early.

-Tell Book if you leave the pocket on a play that was not originally designed for it, just run the motherfucking football. Ignore what you’ve been told all year: DON’T keep your eyes downfield, DON’T wait for receivers to get free, DON’T keep the play alive – RUN THE BALL FORWARD UP THE FIELD AS HARD AND AS FAST AS YOU CAN UNTIL YOU ARE ON THE GROUND.

-When you are in the pocket, and you see Skowronek, McKinley, or Mayer in clear one-on-ones, throw it up there and see if they can get it. No, they can’t get separation – they haven’t all year. But you can’t teach size. Alabama’s corners are good, but they’re not 6-3.

-Forget “Dance with Who Brung You”. Who Brung You ain’t good enough to win this game. Do something different. They’ve got 11 games of tape on you – what worked before ain’t working against Bama. You better have a bag of tricks, a customized game plan, or the game will be over before it starts.

That’s all I got. It ain’t much.
