We appreciate your interest in the site and desire to participate in our discussion boards.

Please keep in mind that all registered posters are expected to abide by the board rules, available via the link above.  Submission of this registration request is considered an acceptance of this responsibility by you.

Because this site believes in accountability for what is said here, mailboxes from free email providers such as Yahoo cannot be used for registration.  You must provide a permanent mailbox by which we can contact you if questions or problems arise.  You do not need to reference this mailbox in your posts, and it will not be made available to anyone outside of our records.  Once you are registered, you can update your records to include a contact email address, which can be from a free mailbox provider.

Also, we compare the email domain given with the domain from which the request was submitted.  Most of our problem posters submit requests from different domains than their email addresses would indicate -- e.g., a request listing an AOL email address not submitted from an AOL account.  Therefore, any requests where the domains are not a reasonable match will be rejected out-of-hand.

New user registrations are processed once a week on Thursdays, and include all registrations received by Wednesday night.  This means that registrants will usually have at least a 24-hour wait before their requests are approved, and encourages our new posters to read the boards and get a feel for the atmosphere of the place before posting.  So if it is now Thursday morning, your request will not be processed for a week.
