Obama, Haley, et al. as all being the same, maybe a bit different in degree, but definitely not different in kind. I obviously don't agree with that assessment, but to someone without a college degree, living paycheck-to-paycheck, who isn't affected by tax brackets and who doesn't have a 401k, I guess maybe I could see where they all begin to look somewhat similar.

As to how Trump came to be these people's savior, my theory is that they appreciate his honesty, and on some level, they relate to his f**ked up life. Most poor uneducated white people don't have perfect Mitt Romney-type families and lives. They can relate to his divorces and bankruptcies, and they appreciate that despite the chaos, Trump and his family keep going and seem to love each other.
