Neither Jones nor Burrow were expected to be dominant QBs prior to their final seasons at Alabama & LSU. That's not to say that Buchner will have a similar trajectory, but it's a more fair comparison to look at Jones' & Burrow's ratings prior to their senior years.

Prior to leading their teams to NCs, and in Burrow's case the greatest offensive explosion in CFB history, neither guy was projected to be a 1st round pick.
