Political Philosophy: Pretty darn conservative. I say conservative and not republican. I normally vote GOP but have never voted straight party ticket. I have a nasty case of libertarian that I can't seem to shake which sometimes causes me conflict. Socially conservative, economically conservative but a passion for personal freedom and privacy.

Religious Philosophy: Big fan of Benedict XVI. Practicing Catholic. I believe that the Holy See is correct and must be obeyed on all dogmatic issues. This include birth control and other controversial issues. When I violate the commandments and the teachings of the church, I try to realize that I'm a sinner. I try not to attempt to justify my actions with calls for the church to change its position. I'm a traditionalist in that I like things the way they were when I was a kid. That said, I can deal with a guitar mass like I had at ND.

Musical Favorites: I'm all over the chart and not at all in sync with the usual crowd on this site. I like Country Music (George Strait, Faith Hill, Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves) Oldies (Beatles, Beach Boys, Mommas and the Papas, Johnny Mathis), Top 40 (Avril Lavigne, Green Day, The Offspring, Blink 182, Kelly Clarkson) and some classical music as well.

Favorite Quote from an ND Coach: From Wake Up the Echoes: Frank Leahy took his football team to Rockne's grave in order to inspire them. While they were there, they noticed the grave of the recently deceased, former coach of the basketball team. Some of them began to wander over to pay their respects. Leahy called out: "Ah Lads. Come away from there. Visit that man during the basketball season."

Miscellaneous Data: I believe that everyone has a responsibility for the stewardship of the University of Notre Dame. I take a personal responsibility to mount my soap box and denounce those that would change the character of the school that I love. I expect no less of the rest of you. Also..I'm a compulsive smartass, so if it appears I'm being obtuse, ask yourself: "Could this be sarcasm? Or is he really this dumb?"
