I wish I had your optimism. by Pghdomer

To me, what we needed was an established name, someone with a track record of winning and whom has proved that he can do it at the highest level..

I know that somewhat of a pipe dream, but I'm just very concerned about the lack of experience we're going to have here. I guess I view it as a high risk potentially high reward play. If Freeman turns out to be the next or Urban or Saban, I'll be the first one to be dancing in the street. But I think it's equally likely that he's Bob Davie 2.0.

I don't think there's any thing we can point to that suggests which way this is going to go. I'm not sure why a program like Notre Dame should be taking that kind of a risk.

That said, everything I read about Freeman is positive, so I'm really hoping that I'm wrong.
