Important notes on articles:

• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. It would be nice if they were to meet in the post season, by cmhirish

a few years from now, when Kelly has "his guys" at LSU, and Freeman has his.

And it would be just if ND pummeled them with a roster and coaching staff that no one could say Kelly put together.

This is not intended as a critique of the current roster or staff.
I think it'd be great to witness the head-to-head results of Kelly's approach to recruiting/staff/strategy vs Freeman's. From what can be observed, Freeman is light years ahead on recruiting philosophy. I think it can also be assumed Freeman will be a better motivator.

There's insufficient info to date on Freeman's approach to building and sustaining staff/strategy, other than the fact the current staff seems to be largely unified. Going to be really interesting to watch that evolve over time, along with his approach to game planning strategies & adjustments.

I'd love to see ND & LSU go head-to-head 3-4 years from now and watch that lazy, obstinate, pompous, grab-bag get his ass handed to him.
