Kelly's legacy as a coach: Cincy was better without him. by NDMike2001

Kelly left Cincinnati in search of more money and a national title. In his 12th and final season it was Kelly who gave Cincinnati the shot at a national championship by losing to them - at home - giving them their only signature win. Ironically, the only quality opponent on Notre Dame's schedule as well. The fear was always that Kelly would turn Notre Dame into Cincinnati. Hell, he couldn't even do that.

I don't hate Brian Kelly. I hate that our administration was pleased with him as the leader of our program. I think it's going to be Freeman. It's a big risk for sure. But I've seen nothing from Freeman that leads me to believe that I would be ashamed to have him as our coach. Quite the contrary.
