We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. And I mean in a way that would make Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer proud.

Chris Fallica, the ESPN College Gameday producer, tonight gave a very candid assessment of Notre Dame, comparing it to the 2016 Washington team as potentially one of the weakest teams to get into the CFP.

When asked by Herbstreit to paint a path for ND to get to the CFP, he gave as one of his conditions that Notre Dame needs to win by 50 against Stanford. Given that a mediocre Cal team just finished scoring 41 points on Stanford in Palo Alto while rolling up more than 600 yards on offense, we have no excuse at all for not getting into the 50's or the 60's against this team while shutting them down.

We can't control any other outcomes with other teams. We can only control the final score. Bury Stanford and then salt the field at Stanford Stadium as you walk out. Even if we don't get in the CFP, it will still feel good to put the pedal to the metal.
