Important notes on articles:

• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. There's no question that the Toledo result should be held against us in the polls, but offensively we are a different team than we were earlier in the season. A similar thing happened in 2018 when we struggled to put points on the board early in the season against shitty opponents with Wimbush at QB, and then found an identity with Book under center.

I would love to see ND face A&M or any of the other second rate SEC teams in a NY6 bowl game, with a healthy Hamilton at Safety. I think that would be a really good game, and we wouldn't be overwhelmed by superior recruited talent and HOF level coaching the way we were in major bowl games against Bama, Clemson, and Ohio St. This isn't Kelly's strongest ND team by any stretch (and his strongest ones had flaws of their own), but none of those SEC also-rans are particularly intimidating, in my opinion.

Yet at the same time, I won't be shocked if we lose to Navy. It's been a weird season and there may be more surprises yet to come.
