Michigan ahead of OU is another headscratcher. by NDCuse

It’s always obvious that they pick the teams they want and then reverse engineer the justifications for their picks.

Bama has all the talent in the world but their best win is over #16, they nearly lost to a mess of a UF team, and they actually benefit from losing to a 2-loss team as if it never happened. If they beat A&M by 14, they’d have the same ranking. So Bama’s ranking is based on the eye test and not quality wins or losses.

Next, MSU. One quality win but it required a good bit of luck, specifically the fumble-TD that was overturned. Rest of their wins are vs tomato cans and they barely beat Neb and IU. So this is quality win but not eye test?

Oregon has the best win and the worst loss in the top 10. They haven’t looked great since Verdell went down.

OSU. At least the committee didn’t rank them ahead of Oregon but what have they shown besides recruiting rankings and running it up on the dregs of the Big 10?

Cincinnati. 2nd or 3rd best win. Lack depth but there’s NFL talent at QB, CB and RB. Told tonight they have no chance of making the playoffs.

Michigan. Struggled w/ Rutgers. Lucky to beat Neb. No great wins.

Oklahoma. Lot of escapes but has to be wondering how Mich is ahead of them. Isn’t it better to win than lose?
