Important notes on articles:

• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. Not every article needs to be discussed. The more the hair-pulling articles are discussed (e.g. ESPN Page 2), the more the authors will write hair-pulling articles.

I didn't watch a single play of the FSU game by wearendhockey

and I won't be watching a single one on Saturday. What the powers that be at Notre Dame have most failed to understand is that apathy is a much worse enemy than a bad coach or Brian Kelly as coach. I simply don't care enough anymore to plan a day around watching a Notre Dame football game, and even more to the point don't care enough to watch them play against a MAC school on a platform I'd have to pay even more to tune into.

I divorced myself from living and dying with the games by the time Kelly arrived. It made seasons like 2012 much more enjoyable and allows me to forget a bad game by the time I change the channel. Even with that attitude, if you had told me 10 years ago that by 2021 I wouldn't care enough about the program to make any effort whatsoever to see at least a part of the either of the first two games I would have said you were nuts. Yet here we are.
