staffs -- ie players can and will rise or fall above mean, and things happen. But what seems consistent is that good teams are either well prepared OR make adjustments that IMPROVE the quality of play, and react to what changes the opposition is making in a positive manner. I realize that the difference between "patient" and "stubborn" is the final score, but it just seems that ND's flaws are exploited more often than opponents' are when the stakes are high or the playing field is level.
