Been to Euros & Bundesliga games that require test or vax. by Keough09Roos

At the Euros in Budapest you needed a negative test or vaccine to get in and you needed to get a wristband as verification. They set up multiple locations in the city (including the airport) where they checked the test or vaccination and you could pick up your wristband. They did this starting 1-2 days before the game. The line for the wristband on actual game day went pretty fast and then entry into the stadium was normal. I think ND could easily set up some wristband locations across campus and maybe even a location in downtown South Bend starting on Fridays.

We’ve also gone to a few Bundesliga games where they’ve required vaccination. All three times have been quite smooth, although the crowds are limited to 25K max here still. Borussia Dortmund had somewhere around 60 different stations setup outside the stadium where they quickly checked vaccination status and gave you a wristband for that day’s game. We waited in line <5 minutes both times for this and then the actual stadium entry later on was normal (with the only extra step being a check for the wristband).

Overall our experience is that it can absolutely be done smoothly and quickly with a wristband check if you have enough people dedicated to carrying out the checks.
