If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.

My point wasn't that the 2015 team wasn't good by pmcdnd96

It was that it wasn't a "woulda coulda shoulda" bad bounce away from a championship. The 1993 football team would have won the national championship if one single play had been different - had the BC kicker not hit the longest field goal of his career, we would have been undefeated. (I guess our bowl opponent might have been different, so maybe that's slightly exaggerated.) As good as the 2015 hoops team was, we still would have needed a number of things to work out correctly.

Reading your post and others, it is completely possible I misinterpreted the original post in the thread. Scoop's post below is different than how I first interpreted his point - it seems his issue is more that our football team hasn't been good enough to legitimately challenge the top teams in the country whey those teams are at full strength. I believe that point is correct. Additionally, it is also correct to say that the basketball team, hockey team, lacrosse team, and now baseball team have all been at that level in the period of time since the football team was last capable of taking on all comers.
