If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.

Defensively, we have closed the gap almost entirely. O is by btd

exclusively our problem and there has been absolutely zero progress made offensively under Kelly. We are exactly as bad now as we were year one and every other year under Kelly against elite teams.

Kelly has made progress against the half assed teams -- by allowing ND to use the talent advantage we have to blow past them starting 2017. Prior to that we leveled the field with those teams by not running at all and thus eliminating our talent and size advantage.

Against elite teams our problem is 99.999% offense. Period. Kelly's version of the spread offense flat out cannot / will not work against any elite team. Ever. No exceptions -- evidenced by literally no examples where it has worked against a team that finished in the top 5. We scored against Clemson's second team defense -- and then were obliterated by their first team defense.
