I agree it isn't saying much. by MrE

I don't think ND would rate "very good" at developing or evaluating (maybe "fine" or "not problematic").

As for coaching, when you consider the college football landscape as a whole and the shortcomings in recruiting, staff, and offensive philosophy, I think "decent" or "pretty good" would be words I'd use.

But better than Weis, Davie, and Willingham, yes.
