My CFB OT solution: by IrishGeek

It’s a new quarter. Coin toss, kickoff. The game continues. It otherwise follows existing college OT rules. It’s not sudden death but as soon as one team fails to match the other with equal possessions, it’s over.

I don’t think it would be all that hokey to start from the 50 or require a 2 point conversion after say the 4th OT to try to push the game to conclusion, especially if the 4th quarter ended like 7-7. They’d be there forever. Converting a 2 pointer is a football skill. It’s not like they’re running relay races or something.

What’s wrong with that?
