With the caveat that Flutie is a tool. by Tjmcfly

I guess I was deaf to a lot of the things people complained about. NBC has a contract with ND, but they're not there to be homers, nor should they be. Flutie, and before him, Hayden; may have slanted a bit when we were playing BC or USC respectively, but wouldn't you? For the most part I never really got the indignation regarding either of them.

His voice was grating, but I kind of dug Mayock. At least he seemed to add something from an X's / O's standpoint that may not have been obvious to everyone.

I like Tirico (even if he does live in Ann Arbor) and I liked Dungy, but I don't feel like Tony really added much. When he wasn't fawning over Tommy Tremble, he was just rehashing exactly what everyone saw rather than giving his perspective as a coach/player/analyst. I feel like a color guy needs to give the audience something more.

As long as Drew realizes his drum is stupid, that Shane Walton owned him, and that John Candy will give him a quarter to get that thing gnawed off his face; I'm willing to give him a year to get his feet wet and another to impress me.
