Important notes on articles:

• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. Not every article needs to be discussed. The more the hair-pulling articles are discussed (e.g. ESPN Page 2), the more the authors will write hair-pulling articles.

A guy on Reddit posted a story about his allegiances by mocopdx

This guy is a frequent poster who I tend to believe:

“ Drew Brees story time. I grew up in South Bend before going to ND. A bunch of my friends went to Purdue. ND and Purdue played every year while we were in school so each year we would take turns going to stay with each other and going to the game.

Our junior year, my friend at Purdue and his roommates ended up with a really cool apartment above a bar. Not quite sure how they got it, but I think one of them knew the previous tenants. We went there to party the night before the nd game and at one point in the night, the door opens and it is Drew Brees with his Wife, brother, and sister in law. He apparently lived there when he went to Purdue. He came in to drink with us, (though he declined to play beer pong). There were many "boiler up" chants as beers were consumed. When we tried to get him to cheers to "go Irish," he said "fuck the Irish".

I have concerns that he may not be the most impartial commentator. Doug Flutie 2.”
