In Memoriam: Ronald Michael Dushney ’69 (1947–2021) by Walsh69

Ron graduated from Blakely High School in Peckville, Pa., in 1964, where he excelled as a running back. The following year Ron enrolled at Bordentown Military Institute (Bordentown, N.J.) for one year and was an All-American, All-State, and All-Prep as the leading scorer on the school’s undefeated team. He earned a scholarship on Ara Parseghian’s second recruiting class in 1965 and played fullback for the Irish varsity for three seasons (1966–69). Below is a story about him that appeared in today’s ‘The Citizen’s Voice’ (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.). Requiescat in pace, Ron Dushney.
