The top and bottom of 4 star has a very wide spread -- whereas the top and bottom of 5 star does not. I think the top of 4 star in Rivals is 5.9 and lowest is 5.7 (or 6 and 5.8). The highest ranked 4 stars are a much safer bet.

The real issue we have is we only are getting 1 or at most 2 four star DBs per year -- especially at CB versus safety. At 22%, I'd feel a lot better if we were landing 4 per year that we would find 2 at any point out of 3 year class span that are good enough.

There was a coaching issue for our Sr and Jr classes (BVG killed everything no matter how good a recruiter you were). Then it appears as though our position coach may have also not been great at developing players -- or at recruiting them. I don't know how good the current position coach is. He recruited more than the prior ones, but we have a sophomore 4 star recruit entering the transfer portal today in addition to at top 50 junior -- neither of which he coached well enough to beat out a guy with 3 major leg injuries and a NC St transfer.
