top three teams? ND is outnumbered in 5 star recruits 10-1 with Alabama, and the margin is not much smaller with Clemson and OSU. So, how does that change?
We are offering close to half of the top 100, and not getting kids to commit. They are choosing those top three programs, and a handful of others, but how exactly do we get those kids to play at ND?

I see people say that Academics is not the reason. Then what is? The weather? Brian? Jack? I am not defending Brian in any way, I am just wondering what else he could do to get those kids here? Is there evidence to suggest they don't come here strictly because of the coach or his scheme?
Short of that, the scheme doesn't matter. I don't have an answer, but it was obvious on Friday that ND does not have the same players as Alabama. We have good players, but not great, and the recruiting rankings back that up.

This poster says that championship coaches elevate recruiting. Sure, I get that, but then who is the next championship coach that brings our recruiting on par with those other three programs, because none of those three are walking into South Bend anytime soon.
