• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. ISU could soon join list of programs w/ major bowl wins... by Scoop80

since 1/1/94. Granted, the 2019 Irish did dominate the mighty Cyclones in the prestigious Camping World Bowl for their 2nd postseason win in The New Coat of Paint Era. Barring a miracle OR comeback, however, ISU will join UCF* as a program that, unlike ND, has won a NY6 bowl in that Era.

Put another way, ND has a 2-3 post-seaon record under BK 2.0. One win came thanks to a spectacular play by Miles Boykin, and the other was noted above. The average margin of defeat in the 3 losses was 23 points. The 3 losses came in 2 playoff games and a conference championship--games that matter more than the Citrus Bowl and a bowl that changes its name every few years.

Yes, our Sherwin Williams semi-gloss has produced some gaudy regular records against watered down schedules. When the games really matter, however, it's difficult to distinguish BK 2.0 from BK 1.0.

*A program that was not yet 1-A when ND last won a tier 1 bowl.
