I think our schedule would have been fine by mocopdx

The non-Covid version had enough quality teams to give us a gauge. It’s no one’s fault that there are really only 2-3 elite teams every year. With scheduling being done years in advance, it’s very hard to predict which of the blue bloods will be in that elite class. Imagine scheduling a game like FSU in 2013 for 2020. We would say that’s a home run selection. Now they’re awful.

I generally agree with the groupthink on here but something I think is false is that our schedule is soft. Relative to the rest of CFB, it’s simply not. Clemson plays a far worse schedule annually. The only solution to the issue of soft scheduling is joining the SEC. Otherwise I don’t think Swarbrick can do much more than what he is now- trying to predict which 2-3 teams will be top 15 in five years.
