Didn't score in 3 of the Purdue NCAA tournament games.
He's not a scorer. But he is very tough and is one of those guys that always seems to be around the ball.
In one of his 3 NCAA games without a point - the win over Tennessee to get to the final 4 - he had 8 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes. A couple of those boards were critical.
I wouldn't mind seeing Gillis at ND - but you're right he is not going to put up big scoring numbers.
rebounder, defender and a very good jump shot. The biggest thing is that Shrews will have to keep him from fighting. Anytime there was a dust up on the court, Painter and the coaches were yelling at Mason to stay calm. If you want an example watch video of the dust up with MSU in the Big tourney. I would like to see him punch a duke player in the mouth, that would be fun.
He litterly has the same season stat line for all 4 years.
guy who is a pretty good spot up shooter. I don't see a downside to bringing in a guy like that. He's not a game changer as I don't see him all of a sudden becoming a guy that can create offense but if he can knock down shots, rebound, defend multiple positions, and provide general toughness and leadership that's a nice addition.
He averaged between 6-7 his last 3 and just over 5 his frosh year
If he starts in Booth's spot, I'd expect his ppg to come close to doubling
...seems to think this is a done deal too.
