Brey discussed his coaching aspirations outside ND (NBA one day?), recruiting the state of Indiana, and how the team limped into the NCAAA this past year.

Get your ass to the games.

Barclays is oddly located for most in the region

it is a good 45 minute subway ride from Penn Station or Grand Central and as mentioned in the article the games were 9pm read 9:40 starts. So for anyone from NJ CT or Westchester/Rockland Barclays is pretty much a non starter as you'd get home at 2 or 3 am. It's more manageable for people from Manhattan and LI but that is a smaller subset of the region. Newark/Villanova had the same problem in reverse. Good for New Jersey and Manhattan but difficult for the rest of the region. MSG is the only venue easily accessible to the whole ND alumni base in the NYC region.

Honest, transparent, genuine and no veneer of PR spinspeak

In other words, everything a Swarbrick interview is not.

Kudos also to the reporter for asking actual insightful follow up questions like about his NBA thoughts. I suspect that wasn't on Mike's list of scripted, pre-approved softballs.

Confirmed he got a Georgetown call
