sometimes isn't what it seems like it should be. In this case with 5 star Mohamed Bamba who recently verballed to Texas and his older brother. Cases like this remind what a cesspool for the most part HS basketball recruiting and the AAU circuit have become.

In a rambling, profanity-laden 22-minute Facebook Live video filmed poolside, Ibrahim Johnson detailed the alleged relationship between his younger brother and financial adviser Greer Love. Shirtless and wearing a backward baseball cap, Johnson accused Love of violating NCAA rules by supplying Bamba with money, vacations and other extra benefits and steering him toward certain schools in hopes of working with the 6-foot-11 center in the future.

Johnson said Love caused a rift to form between him and his younger brother after he disclosed that he intended to become a sports agent and represent Bamba. Going public with these accusations was apparently Johnson’s way of getting revenge on Bamba for siding with Greer instead of him.

“He’s not going to play this year in the NCAA because I already reported him to the NCAA and I’m already going to meet with the NCAA,” said Johnson, a former basketball player at Division II University of Montevallo. “He’s not going to play this year. I’m not going to lie to you. I exposed that kid.”

Sounds like it's more on the brother

More and more is coming out about the brother. The article below says he's been arrested three times in the last month and has five outstanding warrants. The guy has been involved in Bamba's life for awhile. I'm not saying there isn't anything shady about this guy and his involvement, but I don't think it's as bad as the brother tried to make it look.

From the article:

"Love, according to sources, has long been Bamba’s mentor, dating back to when Bamba was 10 years old. He is “actively involved in ‘Locke’s Lions’, an academic and athletic mentorship program for students who attended Public School 208 in Harlem.” Public School 208 is named Alain L. Locke Elementary, and sources told NBC Sports that is where Bamba and Love first met. In 2009, a fifth-grader from Locke named Mohamed Bamba had a letter to President Obama published in Newsweek.

Love helped manage Bamba’s recruitment, and according to a source, the relationship between the two has been cleared and vetted by the NCAA. There was a clear, pre-existing relationship between the two parties before Bamba was out of elementary school."

It does look like the brother.

has an axe to grind. I wonder if he's expecting a payday from Love to say...my bad nothing really happened.
