Following Lucy Olsen's commitment last evening to Iowa (and Maddie Scherr's decision to not visit Iowa), "I Talk Hoops" listed his/her Top Remaining 20 Players in the Transfer Portal.

4. Janiah Barker (6’4 PF/Texas A&M)
5. Laila Phelia (6’0 G/Michigan)
6. Deja Kelly (5’8 G/UNC)
7. Hailey Van Lith (5’7 G/LSU)
8. Charlisse Leger-Walker (5’10 G/Washington State)

strong, versatile guard at PSU who would add some depth to the ND backcourt. She is from Wisconsin and seemed to have some mutual interest with ND when she was in high school.

Was Mutual Interest. Irish Coaches Visited Her. Kieger...

...then was at Marquette and was big-time on recruiting her and persuaded her to come east when she took the PSU job.

Not a great jump shooter by any means, but solid defender, rebounder who rns the court well.

She's also 5'10", so decent hight for a guard. *

Posted the following this morning:

"Could be something. Could be nothing.

But I think it may be worth noting that some of Timea Gardiner’s most recent followed people on IG include Niele Ivey, Olivia Miles & Sonia Citron…"

Now you have me excited! That would be a big catch. *

She could play with Maddy and Kate Koval, then once Maddy moves up to the pros, be there with Kate while --- hopefully -- Niele is bringing in a young forward like Leah Macy or Madison Francis to man the position after her.

Exactly!! *

Think TCU Coach Campbell Recruited Her While at Oregon
by dillon77  (2024-04-18 11:43:41)     cannot delete  |  Edit  |  Return to Board  |  Ignore Poster   |   Highlight Poster  |   Reply to Post

Many people think Oregon's glory years were just as due to Campbell (as Graves), but -- having said that -- there are a lot of former PAC 12 players on that roster.

If she can learn to pick and roll with Sedona Prince, it could help HVL get somewhat ready to go for some form of a pro career.

Can't tell in your headline if you were kidding or not....

She is from Michigan, so may be willing to move closer to home. Good size, great shooter, can drive to the basket. She checks a lot of boxes for what we're looking for in a guard to replace Anna and KK. No idea if she would be willing to come if she won't start, but worth a call.

Has Some ;Soni Attributes. Can Certainly Shoot the 3.

Wonder if ND coaching staff would think "that's what Emma is for": tall guard/wing. Then again, how is Emma's recovery going.

Good find....
