Just a follow up regarding the upcoming festivities with Lou and the boys in Bethlehem, PA on June 2 (Mass/Dinner/Auction) and June 3 (Golf Outing with former players).

As noted on the linked website:

"Join Coach Lou Holtz and his players for an incredible dinner auction on Sunday June 2nd, followed by a day of Golf on Monday, June 3rd. Auction includes original watercolor painting of Coach Holtz, by renowned sports artist James Fiorentino, signed by James and the coach.

Here are just a few of the players expected to attend:
Bobby Taylor (Philadelphia)
Paul Grasmanis (Philadelphia),
Rocket Ismail (Carolina, Dallas)
Derek Brown (NYG)
Reggie Brooks (Washington)
Ned Bolcar (Seattle / Miami)
Steve Beuerlein (Dallas, Carolina)
Tim Grunhard (Kansas City)
Frank Stams (Cleveland, L.A.)
Irv Smith (New Orleans)
Dave Butler
Dan Tanczos
Tom Freeman

We will announce more players in the coming weeks!

Contact Mark Napierkowski -- (610) 451-3786 -- with questions."

Mark said that you, the fine citizens of NDNation, should feel free to call or text him, or email him at the embedded email, with any questions. Also, I'm told that there will certainly be additional former players there as well, but they are still firming that up before they announce their names.

Here is a summary of the linked website sign up page:

"$500 per seat for Sunday dinner/auction. $500 to golf on Monday 6/3. You can do either, or both.

Both events are at Woodstone Country Club, 20 minutes away from Lehigh Valley Airport (LVIA). LVIA (Lehigh Valley Airport) is easiest, but indirect flights there are obviously more expensive. Other airports would be Philly and Newark.

Hotel Bethlehem, Wind Creek Casino Hotel - nice places to stay. But there are B&B's and others, and Mark can help direct you when when you sign up. Most tables should include a HH player, and the idea for the golf outing on Monday is to have every group include a HH player. It's going to be 5+1 = 6 golfers per group.

Per the website, there are currently 34 individual dinner spots remaining and 21 individual golfer slots left. There are also 9 remaining fivesomes left if you have a group that would like to attend. Also tables and sponsorships left.

Go for it. You won't regret it and it's for a good cause. I went to the one in Naples, Florida last March and it was a blast. (It's also your chance to ask Dave Butler all about that new Football building he is helping pay for.)

If you cannot make it, you can also check out the auction page (available soon) on the linked website for the chance to bid on some cool stuff.

Thanks.

P.S.

Dinner will be better than eating "9 Oreos":

"Woodstone Country Club and Lodge will provide a plated Surf and Turf dinner with passed and stationed appetizers. There will be an open bar of beer, wine, mixed drinks and non-alcoholic beverages."

So will breakfast at the golf outing:

"The golf outing will include a hardy breakfast of Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast, Home Fries, Danishes, Fresh Fruit Salad, Juices, Coffee & Tea, all provided by our host, the Woodstone Country Club and Lodge."
