The top-end of regular season opponents in the SEC is simply in a different stratosphere from what ND's watered down schedules provide.

I mean in twelve years Kelly has only played *five* regular season games against tier-1 teams (ie teams who recruit high-end talent) who were ranked in the top-10 at game time.

If I've counted correctly, Lou Holtz coached in *twenty-five* of those games.
