the usual suspects here will decry it. Its very predictable. Swarbrick could hire an animatronic Knute Rockne and half this board would demand his firing on day 1.

I don't think Rhule has any cultural affinity for the place. I think he'd probably prefer to stay in the NFL. I think Fickell is a fit culturally and appears to be an excellent football coach and, perhaps, more importantly, a stand up dude. I don't know a ton about Freeman other than it seems he can recruit and that his players love him. Two very important qualities for a head coach.

I'm all ears on opportunities beyond those.
