And it was over 20 years ago. Riley was coach in waiting. It was already in place for there to be a seamless transition. I suppose Joe C could promote Grinch or some other current assistant (unlikely) but he’s not hiring an outsider first time coach. His basketball coaches have all been experienced, and he’s pretty good at getting his guy. Money won’t be an issue. With a move to the sec coming, it will not be freeman.
