Pending surprises, thinking UGA, UM, Cincy, OKST.

Is there no consequence for OKST’s loss to Iowa State? * *

Leverage head-to-head matchups to optimize the four slots *

What I know is Cincinnati is unbeaten, and Iowa State is 5-4.

Same logic as avoiding 2x SEC, let the season matter. *

I think the bigger concern is lack of quality wins.

Right now, one team that we’ve beaten is ranked in the CFP top 25, and they have 3 losses.

What BK has failed to do is go beat top teams. Beat wins in his tenure are Oklahoma 2012, MSU (I forget the year they were ranked when we played them, but they finished the season unranked), and Clemson 2020 without Trevor Lawrence in OT.

That’s it. In 12 years, BK has won maybe 3 games that we thought were appropriate top-level challenges. We have more “good losses” over that time, even more “ass beatings,” than wins.

If we want respect as a title contender, we have to have fewer ass beatings and more wins against top level competition.

2012 Stanford as well, but your point stands. *

2011-2013 with msu. #10 in coaches after season in 2011

Despite us stomping them. #10 at time of game in 2012 when we beat them 20-3 at MSU. #3 at end of season in 2013 despite one loss all tear (to us but much closer than previous two years and unranked at time of game.) our defenses ate them alive each year.

No consequence for losing to MSU (UM) or unranked (OSU) *

For years the committee has shown that who you lose to...

is less important than who you beat. We simply don't have the same quality of wins as some other teams. I don't think a 3 loss Wisconsin team struggling to score double digits is impressing the committee.

Interesting but i did read
