It’s not because ND is good. It’s two factors.

First, ND has games left against two 3-7 teams.
Highly likely that ND will finish 11-1, and will
be #8 Tuesday.

Second, several of the teams ahead of ND will
lose games by the end of the month. Ohio st
has games left against michigan and michigan st.
2/3 of these teams will lose. Putting ND at 6.
Oregon may well lose to Utah, and Alabama
will probably lose to Georgia. It’s also possible
that Ohio St may lose to UW in the B10 champioship game,
and Cincy could lose to SMU or Houston.

Crazier things have happened.
