Not an ACL, thankfully.

So much for the strained knee report. *

... the concludes with the North Carolina game on October 30th.

(All five of those teams are currently ranked)

God damn it.

I guess it's Carmody's job.

Patterson may need to bump out to tackle

Zeke at center. It’s one of the options at least

Then you have three guys in new slots in week two.

But who knows? Get the five best guys on the field is the other argument.

Toledo is a good week to try a new configuration *

LT has to be rock solid. So, if Patterson is our best LT

Then we need to make that move. We know we have a competent center we can slide over. It then comes down to LG is our weakest link - but that’s not a given. Sum of the parts could be that LG2 is better than What we’d be with a weaker LT.

This all assumes Patterson is considered a better Lt than carmody. I don’t know if that’s considered true. Hidden here is whether Patterson didn’t look good enough at Lt to keep him there and that’s really why we moved him back to center.

In any event - given we have two centers that have started games and done well, moving Paterson to Lt is a legitimate option to consider.

Zeke at center

I thought he played well there last year
He looked small at guard
If there is someone good to put at LG...

A weak guard will kill us less than LT

We gave up 3 of 4 sacks at LG against FSU. None of us know it Patterson is considered our best remaining LT. It all flows from there.

tOSU moved their LT inside to guard

this season in order to get the best 5 OL on the field. Think the guy is a 2 year returning starter.

A lot of impact players across college went down in Week One

Oregon's best player is out for an undisclosed length of time. Alabama lost its best linebacker. Minnesota and Michigan lost their best offensive skill position players.

Clemson has two starters that will miss most of the year. OSU has multiple starters out.

ND now has two starters that are out for the year (or most of it).
