Could Prince Kollie's emergence be accelerated now?

Or has Kollie been working at a different LB slot?

Understanding of course that Bertrand and Simon are in place to replace Liafau initially.

Kollie has been working at Rover

Jack Kiser is the starter and is backed up by Isaiah Pryor and Paul Moala.

It's kind of late in the timeline of our fall camp to move Kiser over to Liufau's spot, but it's not out of the question. If Liufau is going to be out for the season or for a long period of time, some personnel switching is more likely. If Liufau will be back soon, then Bertrand and Simon will probably fill in while other LBs stay put.

Kollie would still have plenty of guys ahead of him no matter what happens, but I would also like to see what he can do sometime this season.

Depth is so important, especially in the COVID era *

JD Bertrand was having a great fall camp.

So I imagine he'll be the starter. Although with the way that Freeman has talked about the linebackers, I wouldn't be shocked to see Bauer or even Kiser move over into that slot either.

That’s not good *

ND will need a pass rush from the DE's because Freeman just lost his best blitzer from the LB position.

Shit.

"The 6-foot-2, 229-pounder suffered a significant lower-body injury during Wednesday’s practice and will likely miss an extended period of time."

A great deal of the preseason hype this year had been centered on Marist and his growth, having seemingly locked down the Will linebacker spot. "Significant" and "extended period of time" do not sound good.
