a team like that is already in their conference and they already beat them regularly.

The difference between the haves and have nots is enormous, even among power 5 (Big 10 vs Pac 12 for instance) but especially between the Power 5 and group of 5, and especially between the SEC and the group of 5.

No contest. And that's why the AP poll is a joke.

Kind of similar to ND this year. If we beat them, it's only because we should have, as it would be for them.

and we have purposely gone about setting schedules that are designed to not be challenging. The fact that a team pops up and can beat other shitty teams and get a decent record a few years in a row doesn't change that. To our credit, at least we don't drop them from the schedule (as other schools do).
