Sampling Theory

If the spring game is included in the population of Notre Dame football games to be played in 2021, it is at best a biased sample --- rules are different, goals are different, length of game time is different, opponent is different, composition of offensive line is different, 2 of the 3 QB's could not be tackled, etc., etc. etc. At worse it should not even be included in the population.

It is, of course, a mortal sin of sampling theory to generalize from a biased sample, much less to do so with such confidence and in such detail.
