and baseball and BB didn't. BB has and baseball HAD (past tense) reasonable means of breaking ties. The NFL tiebreaker (which didn't apply to regular season until '74) gives a major advantage to the coin flip winner. The CFB tiebreaker (which didn't apply to regular season until '96) has limited ST's play.
