so many people think that it's a big punch, when the reality is that it's a close in/body shot type of counterpunch used to set up bigger punches.

If you're getting too "long" with that hook, it's ineffective.

I think of a hook as when you're in close (usually after throwing a big straight) and you're trying to get the guys hands down and you throw that quick punch to the ribs.
