It’s actually weird the amount of bloggers I’ve seen who hate Zahm but love BK. It’s like an inverse relationship. These guys seem to either not know or (even worse) not care about the Shembo/Seeberg situation at all (all because BK wins 10 games a year, I guess?) while simultaneously cheering on the admin for taking down Zahm. BK/the ND admin are pure bastions of light, unlike those Zahm degenerates.

Yea, Shembo was only “alleged”. Yet apparently rumors/“reputation” is enough to take down an entire dorm. (The alleged incident with Shembo btw took place in Stanford Hall, where he resided. But I’m sure if/when the email from admin saying an alleged “forcible fondling” took place in a north quad dorm, everyone thought ZAHM!! because of reputation or some bullshit.)

Sorry for both the tangential post going down that path and simply a tangential post itself. But yeah, I’m pissed about Zahm and pissed about the complete hypocrisy from ND’s admin and how they only seem to care about how they look/things appear, not actually what’s right. El K, if you need to nuke this post and/or my account, I understand.

“Maui Brey” felt genuine. “Homeboy BK”, and whatever you want to call this, feel inauthentic. Like an awkward middle-aged dad trying to be cool to his teenage sons and friends. “I’m the cool coach.” Perhaps it feels fake due to purple-faced and the numerous throwing of players under the bus publicly in the past in BK 1.0. Admittedly, there’s been less of that in the new coat of paint BK, but it feels more like he’s suppressing his base instincts and trying to force a personality that isn’t actually his, and it’s a bit cringe-worthy because of that.

But whatever, if it gets recruits and results (and for the record, I don't really think it does either of those, but I don't think it hurts, mainly no effect), then who cares really.
