or is that when Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane
I'm the only one on the board to get the reference.
engineering major...
Crazy
You’re not the only one. History major here, but I love Shakespeare.
?
I don’t even know ‘em!
He was a standout LB on ND's '73 National Championship team, along with MLB Collins. Mahalic was 6'4" 225 lbs. OLB and a former high school QB from Farmington Hills, MI. Burnham is 6'4" 215 lbs. as a junior in high school and still growing. As high school QB, both are very athletic and have knowledge of offensive strategy, and therefore how to stop offenses.
Mahalic is a good guy and very smart, as he may have been the first NFL player to go to Harvard Law School.
This kid was once considered a Michigan lean/lock, so a great job by the ND staff.
Freeman is putting the pieces together on defense.
ND finally has a rainmaker on that side of the ball.
Jamie U over at ISD has Joshua rated as the #29 overall ranked player in the 2022 class.
ND needs more of these type players--the top 50. ND has shown they can get some guys rated 51-100. But getting the top 40 or top 50 is where Kelly has failed. I would like to start seeing at least 2-3 top 40 players in every class. It is a realistic goal.
which included 3 Top 100 recruits:
#70 Houston Griffith
#90 Shayne Simon
#99 Jack Lamb
The only other time a Kelly class has had 3 Top 100 recruits on the defensive side of the ball was in 2011:
#9 Aaron Lynch
#26 Ishaq Williams
#31 Stephon Tuitt
Freeman doesn't have a Top 100 commit yet, but 3-4 seems attainable. Elko and Diaco both got 3 (albeit at different levels of the Top 100 spectrum).
Nice pickup. Let's hope there's more on the way.
Their best people left for 24/7 years ago.
For years and years you had basically two recruiting sites, nationally anyway, Rivals and Scout. And Rivals was the clear standard bearer through most of that time and it carried through the early ESPN and 24/7 recruiting years.
I just like the composites that go up on 24/7, usually if a kid is good at least one of the sites will pick up on that and have them rated really high and bring the composite up, and if they’re a composite 5 star you know they’re a stud.
Simon rated higher than Burnham in both.
