Edited again: The article is unclear if offensive or defensive Run Game Coordinator, but Sampson tweeted that it was defensive.

If it's defensive, then it was done for the raise that comes with the additional titles and consolation for being passed over for the DC job.

If it's offensive, then that seems odd considering Elston would need to be involved in both offensive and defensive gameplanning.
