perhaps ND can pound some teams early and Buchner can get some decent playing time. From what I recall and from watching his highlight tape he is willing to and successfully makes some throws I haven’t seen Book make in 3 years. He also appears to be just as good of a runner when need be and doesn’t tuck and run immediately.

I think this is a smart move in that he is going to put ND in a position to likely win every regular season game and hopefully allow for some playing time for whoever the backup is.
