with a Meyer like coach/Meyer like results. Pretty maxed out on stadium revenue already and I don't think we can generated much more in TV revenue from football without a willingness to upgrading opponent quality substantially.

You might be able to generate the delta initially with gifts, but I'm not sure it's a good long term strategy to rely on donations to fund the coach. Endowing 8MM in annual incremental spend would require about $172MM. That's a lot of coin that few people at ND would like to see restricted for football.
