Is Texas eternally fooked because they hired Herman and had to fire him after a few years?

Of course it’s risky and there is no sure thing. But what are we afraid of? The worst thing that happens is we get it wrong and have to do it again in a few years and spend money on buyouts and new guys. Is that so much worse than the status quo which will never result in a title?
