Then decommitted. Whoops.

Oklahoma is at #10 for team recruiting rankings with only 16 recruits. Oklahoma should pass ND and have plenty of recruiting room for their 2022 class. Of the top 14 teams, there are only 2 teams without a 5-Star recruit (#6 Oregon & #9 ND).
The 2022 class for each school will on average have fewer recruits, since that class will have to get back to the 85 total scholarship limit, after the 2021 Covid-19 exception. Therefore, the Top 20 teams should have a higher percentage of 4-Stars since the elite schools may not have as many scholarships available (unless they do some draconian roster management). ND should have a lot fewer scholarships in 2022 due to having 27 recruits in 2021 (tied with VT for the largest recruiting class of any team in the top 100 classes), so they will be missing out on the extra 4-Stars that should be available.
It will be interesting to see how the '20 and '21 classes play out over the next 3-4 years. KellyHaters destroyed the recruiting results for the '20 class, as it ranked between 15-20. The optimists are telling us the '21 class is much better, because it will settle around 10th.
The rankings suggest that the '21 class is better, but that's primarily attributable to volume- far more players in the '21 class. The average player ranking for the '20 class was actually higher.
you know and he has crushed it this year. They will have a top 5 class and seem to be back to their “normal” outstanding classes. Along With Chris Claiborne on their staff, I expect them to be formidable in coming years. Even with Helton.

Coach, please repeat what your plan is to get the program to the top tier. Thank you.
He wants to be an actor. USC makes sense.
again fires assistants.
They also have a bunch of guys declaring for NFL. And 2019 and 2020 were weak classes. Helton really, really needs a good year and a large top 5 class this coming year.
I hope Helton sticks around awhile longer.
Great at offensive skill positions.
Some big splashes in recruiting.
But his teams are malignantly soft, and that's why they struggle to put away .500 (and worse) teams.
USC, Texas, and FSU to be good again. I think it will help spread out the elite talent in a way that is good for ND and good for CFB overall.
Alabama, Clemson and OSU will still get theirs. You’re just giving the Chris Tyrees of the world more options.
