But for Brian Kelly, 11 fucking years in, to keep saying shit like that..it's more than just unseemly. It's pathetic.

Every time...EVERY TIME Notre Dame gets an opportunity to play for the title under Kelly, it ends in a disaster. These are not competitive games.

For Brian Kelly to say, "we battled," it's like he's asking for credit for taking the field and competing. That's not how you are measured. Hell, Air Force, Navy and Army battle, for fuck's sake.

Notre Dame does not have the elite players, or the elite coaching, or (and this is the biggie) the administration to seriously have a chance to defeat a Clemson, Ohio State or 'Bama.

You could say that in some areas Notre Dame has improved since 2012, but not nearly enough.

And because of how this season ended, the victory over Clemson will always look tainted because we beat them when several key players were unable to play, and we could not come close to them when they were back at full strength.

I don't know where ND goes from here. Father Jenkins and Saucy will prop up Kelly, point to undefeated regular seasons, etc, but nothing will change unless there is a significant change at the very top of the ND power structure.
